Floral Inspirations

Nothing gets me inspired to decorate like the cool winds and warm amber colors of fall. However, this hot, sticky and humid weather we are currently experiencing in Cincinnati, is not inspiring. So, I look to other places for delicious decorating ideas. I have been thinking floral lately...

Looking at my master bath arrangement has me thinking towards fall. It has a very warm feel with the pheasant feathers and shades of brown. I really love the contrast against the cool blue venetian plaster.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this bouquet... oh why was my wedding in the tacky 90's?!!

The use of vintage pots clustered with beautiful hues of violet flowers in this photo, creates an elegant but casual table. Don't you think? I love this idea.

Oh yes, this is definitely me. These cement-like urns with the branches for height... love it. Gather what you can find in your garden and woods. It's amazing what is beautiful when it's displayed "on a pedestal".

Very earthy. Another great use for Apothecary jars/vases...

and another... Isn't this amazing? The colors are so rich.

Okay, now I'm inspired. New arrangements to come...
