Maybe it's the frame...

The next time you think a framed picture or painting looks ugly, dated, tacky, ... maybe it's the frame.

I taped off the artwork (on this fun little vintage painting that someone put their little heart into) so I could spray the frame. What a difference it made. Now you can see the picture without all that distraction.

Don't you think it looks 10 times better? These little guys are the perfect size for under a kitchen cabinet above a back splash. And, that's where they will be (in my house) if they don't sell in my space at the Mercantile Mall.

This 50's painting is half painted and half bird's feathers. I didn't think it looked too bad with the wooden frame, but I definitely like it better painted white washed in the teal. Again, this is a great size for the kitchen and when I held it up to my cabinet it looked so perfect on the end... it's so hard to sell these wonderful finds. I love them all!!

  2. What a difference. I usually discard the artwork for the frames. I will take a second look in the future. It's your artist eye that allowed you to see the potential.
